Agnes was such a good and wise child, she persuaded her parents to let her enter the convent at age 9, and became abbess (leader) at age 15. Her reputation spread far and wide with stories of healings, visions, and miracles performed by her. On her deathbed, she told her sisters: “Do not grieve over much at my departure; I shall not lose sight of you. You will find I have not abandoned you and you will possess me forever.”
