|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every year that begins at 12:00am on of June, repeating indefinitely

World Refugee Day is a day in which Catholics join the world community in prayer and advocacy for refugees.

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops said, “The Catholic Church has for decades taken seriously the plight of these vulnerable refugees and through advocacy, education efforts, and service provision sought to provide increased protections for them.”

The U.S. bishops’ office of Migration and Refugee Services, known as MRS, works to coordinate care and advocacy for this vulnerable population. To learn more about MRS and its work, read about their work on their blog.
