Being Angels with Random Acts of Kindness

Random acts of kindness are a fun and easy way to practice service with your kids. You can present this to little kids as being like angels—divine helpers and messengers of God’s love and generosity. The website RandomActsofKindness.org has a whole repository of ideas; here are a few to get you started:

  • Put up a dry-erase board dedicated to writing down compliments or positive messages about other family members.
  • Make a meal (or just cookies) for someone going through a hard time.
  • Shovel your neighbor’s sidewalk.
  • Let someone else go ahead of you in line.
  • Tip a fast food worker.
  • Give someone a hug.
